Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in film and TV is most well-known for her roles in films like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole one child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she was sixteen. They praised her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this actress. Through the years, Alexandra has appeared in many noteworthy national and international projects. The most notable of these include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She was also a member of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
