Christina Hendricks is an American actress who is best known for her performance as Joan Holloway in the seven seasons of the period drama show on AMC Mad Men (2007-2015). Apart from receiving critic appreciation, her performance in the series earned her six Emmy Awards nominations in the best supporting actress category. Since her time in the industry that spans more than 20 years, she's gained recognition for her roles as a character in the upcoming legal drama Kevin Hill comedy series Another Period crime drama series Tin Star and comedy-crime series Good Girls. Her voice is featured in movies like Drive Ginger & Rosa Lost River and The Neon Demon, The Strangers : Prey at Night Egg, and American Woman. The voice of her character has been featured in animated films, such as Toy Story 4, Scoob! and From Up on Poppy Hill. Prior to that, she started her career as a model, and kept it going for several years before she made her acting debut in the television series Undressed which premiered in the year 1999. The show gave her her first recognizable role as a character in the comedy series Beggars and Choosers. Following this, she won praises for her performance in Firefly. Esquire magazine voted her as the most beautiful woman in America and also the sexiest in the entire world in 2010.
